Helping young readers find the wonder in the words around them
I'm a Children's book author and Speech-Language Pathologist. My books are written to help young readers find the wonder in the words around them. As children pick up my books, I hope to spark creative communication and help them see that words are wonderful.

I start with an idea or inspiration. When putting words on paper, I think of my own children and the many children I've worked with through 30 years as an SLP.
Once a story is formed, I send it out to be critiqued. I question every comment and make change after change after change to get the story to a "finished" product.
After the story is ready to leave my hands, I decide whether to self-publish or send it off to the world of traditional publishing. I hope and wish and pray for it become a story young readers can enjoy.
